Tail Grip

TIPS for a Pro installation:

  1. Always start by throughly clean the board deck with alcohol or similar. Make sure no rest of wax is present. Avoid industrial cleaners.
  2. Before starting, arrange traction layout.
  3. Use the stringer or mark the center of the board with a pencil.
  4. Start with the central part. Peel off the adhesive backing on one end and start applying, making sure it's aligned with the center of the board.
  5. Then side parts ensuring even gaps on each side.
  6. Apply pressure on all the edges and all around the pad. 
  7. Wait for some hours to let the glue cure and go surf.

Hexa Tail

TIPS for a Pro installation:

  2. Before starting, arrange traction layout.

  4. Start with the kick part. Peel off the adhesive backing on one end and start applying
  5. Then side parts and triangles ensuring even gaps on each side. PRO TIP: Use the installation cardboard spacer.
  6. Apply pressure on all the edges.
  7. Wait for some hours to let the glue cure and go surf.

Tail Grip Arrow

TIPS for a Pro installation:

  4. Start with the kick parts. Peel off the adhesive backing on one end and start applying, making sure it’s aligned with the center of the board.
  5. Then the first and second rows.
  6. Apply pressure on all the edges and all around the pad.
  7. Wait for some hours to let the glue cure and go surf.

HexaTraction

TIPS for a Pro installation:

  1. Don't install it on a cold environment. We recommend to install it at room temperature. Below 20ºC (68F) the material and glue tend to get rigid, so it would make the installation more difficult. 
  2. Throughly clean the area with alcohol or similar. Make sure no rest of wax is present. Avoid industrial cleaners. 
  3. Before starting, layout the HexaTraction hexagons choosing the best pattern to cover the area where you need grip and traction.
  4. PRO TIP: Peel exactly half of the adhesive backing of the first HexaTraction hexagon, so it will be super easy to align with the board center line.
  5. Pour or spray water. It will help on having no air bubbles.
  6. Stick half of the hexagon making sure to remove all air and water out by rubbing with your fingers and/or cloth. Remove the other half of the backing and squeeze all the air and water out.
  7. PRO TIP: Squeeze from the center to the edges or from one side to the opposite so all air and water gets out. 
  8. Using the HexaTraction installation template included in the packaging, progress through the deck one hexagon at a time.
  9. PRO TIP: Align by the side of the hexagon with the adhesive backing on.
  10. Complete the layout using the half hexagons if needed.
  11. You're done. Review all hexagons, making sure all the water is out, let it dry (not on the sun) and let it cure for some hours before heading to the water.

HexaTraction RSPro® board grip&traction uses a strong adhesive. If you need to remove it, we advice to use a hair dryer or heatgun to apply some gentle heat so the adhesive softens, and removal is easier. Specially if your board is painted or coated. 

Front Grip

TIPS for a Pro installation:

  1. Don't install it on a cold environment. We recommend to install it at room temperature. Below 20ºC (68F) the material and glue tend to get rigid, so it would make the installation more difficult. 
  2. Throughly clean the board deck with alcohol or similar. Make sure no rest of wax is present. Avoid industrial cleaners.
  3. Before starting, arrange traction layout. PRO TIP: We recommend standing next to the board with your stance or lining up and older board to copy the front foot location.
  4. Use the stringer or mark the center of the board with a pencil.
  5. Start with the first central part. Peel off the adhesive backing on one end (we recommend from the top) and start applying without stretching. PRO TIP: One of the properties of the material is that it's quite elastic, so do not stretch it during installation.
  6. Then side parts ensuring even gaps on each side. Align at the top and try again not to stretch the material to guarantee even lengths.
  7. Apply pressure on all the edges.
  8. Wait for some hours and go surf.

Rail Protection

TIPS for a Pro installation:

  1. Don't install it on a cold environment. We recommend to install it at room temperature. Below 20ºC (68F) the material and glue tend to get rigid, so it would make the installation more difficult. If you can't do it at room temperature above that temperature, use a hairdryer or heat gun to apply a gentle heat over the rail protection before, during and after installation.
  2. Unroll the rail protection bands and place on at each side of the board. 
  3. Mark with a pencil the center of the rail protection band.
  4. Before removing the backing, place the center of the rail protection band at the center of the board rail and extend it to the nose, mark the board with a pencil where the start of the rail protection band should be. Now you have the perfect placing longitudinally. 
  5. Start peeling the front side of the rail protection band and start sticking it where you marked the board and on the edge of the board rail (this is the more external part of the board, and where all impacts will take place). Follow the board rail edge until the end.

If your board coating/painting is weak (usually the case on extremely expensive and on extremely cheap boards), or if you prefer to play around with the rail protection band until you find the perfect spot, spray some clean water over the rail of your board. It will allow you to move the rail protection band, and once placed, remove excess water with a squeegee or similar. Rest of the water will evaporate by itself after some hours.

Nose Saver

TIPS for a Pro installation:

  1. Always start by throughly clean the board nose with alcohol or similar. Avoid industrial cleaners.
  2. PRO TIP. You can warm the saver before installation with a hairdryer or similar to make it softer for installation. Not needed if installation temperatures are above 20ºC (68F)
  3. Before starting, check the correct positioning.  
  4. Peel off the adhesive backing  and align the center of the saver with the tip of your board and stick it applying pressure. 
  5. Stretch it on one side centering it on the edge of your board. PRO TIP. The narrower the nose, the more you have to stretch it, so the elasticity of the material makes installation easier.  Start applying, making sure it’s aligned with the center of the board.
  6. Repeat on the other side, making sure you stretch it exactly as the other side so it ends up symmetrical.
  7. Apply pressure on all the edges and all around the nose saver.
  8. Wait for some hours to let the glue cure and go surf.

Paddle Grip

TIPS for a Pro installation:

  1. Don't install it on a cold environment. We recommend to install it at room temperature. Below 20ºC (68F) the material and glue tend to get rigid, so it would make the installation more difficult.
  2. Start by cleaning the paddle shaft with alcohol or simply soap and water (make sure you get rid of any wax, silicone or similar).
  3. Mark where do you want the grip to be positioned (maybe it's time to challenge yourself for a longer reach)
  4. Peel part of the backing longitudinally and fold it.
  5. Align vertically and start applying pressure along the grip.
  6. You can now start wrapping the grip around the shaft, peeling, wrapping and applying pressure all around.
  7. The grip will overlap (It's designed to work great overlapping, so don't worry).
  8. Apply some pressure evenly all around and ... that's it.
  9. Wait at least 6 hours to let it cure, before using it and Go Paddle.

If you need to remove it, we advice to apply some heat with a hairdryer or heatgun to soft the adhesive and to make it easier to remove.

Paddle Edge Protection

Important: each Edge Saver is one single piece. Do not cut or separate the two sides joined by the small central square. The square is the starting point of the installation.

TIPS for a Pro installation:

  1. Install at room temperature, preferably above 20°C (68°F).
  2. Clean the paddle blade edge thoroughly with alcohol and a clean cloth. Remove wax, silicone, grease and dirt, and let the surface dry completely. Avoid industrial cleaners.
  3. The pack contains 2 complete Edge Savers. Separate the two Edge Savers from each other, but do not separate the two sides of an individual Edge Saver.
  4. Locate the small square section in the centre. Peel only its backing and stick this square first at the midpoint of the paddle blade edge. This anchors and centres the protector.
  5. Once the centre is fixed, work along one side, gradually removing the backing and pressing the Edge Saver around the blade edge.
  6. Stretch the material only as much as needed to follow tighter curves. Avoid excessive tension.
  7. Return to the centre and repeat on the other side, keeping both sides symmetrical.
  8. Press firmly along the full protector, especially around curves and at both ends.
  9. Check for trapped air or areas that are not fully bonded and press them out before leaving the adhesive to cure.
  10. Wait at least 6 hours before using the paddle in water.

During installation you can reposition the Edge Saver, but once it is fixed and the adhesive has cured it should not be repositioned.

If you need to remove it, apply gentle heat with a hairdryer or heat gun to soften the adhesive and make removal easier.

Car Protection

TIPS for a Pro installation:

  1. Don't install it on a cold environment. We recommend to install it at room temperature. Below 20ºC (68F) the material and glue tend to get rigid, so it would make the installation more difficult.
  2. Throughly clean the bumper and use alcohol or similar for a perfect clean.
  3. Before starting, place the product and move it around to make sure where do you want to install it and use a pencil if needed to mark the right placement.
  4. The front flap of the packaging is designed to be used as a sustainable squeegee. Tear it, fold it and you’ll use it as a traditional squeegee.
  5. Remove the central part of the adhesive backing and stick it at the center of the bumper.
  6. Start applying one side applying pressure and using the squeegee to remove air. Then the other side.
  7. On non white cars, apply some gentle heat with a hairdryer for a nicer finish. Wait for 48/72h for the final look.

If you need to remove it in the future, we advice to apply some heat with a hairdryer or heatgun to soft the adhesive and to make it easier to remove.
